Her teachings focus on the opportunity to "restore" innate capacities to their optimal expression through "relaxation as practice" coupled with traditional yoga practice. Her teachings are a reflection of her long study with international teachers and yogis in the area of "traditional" South India yoga, pranayama, critical alignment, anapana and vipassana meditation. She obtained her teaching certificate after completing a 3-year course at The Bharata Institute of Yoga, Amsterdam, Netherlands. The institute is world renowned for it's work in critical alignment. She is a certified Yoga Alliance teacher and teacher trainer. She has been doing pranayama for 25 years and has been practicing vipassana meditation for over 10 years. An international yoga teacher and member of that community, she teaches workshops around the world including the United States, Netherlands, Belgium, India, Antigua (West Indies) and Mexico.
She began studying yoga in 1998 under the teaching of Jnana Dakini and obtained a Yoga Instructor certification at Yoga Espacio. She attended the specialty Therapeutic Yoga with David McAmmond.
She has developed her own method in teaching Yoga to children since 2004, and has over nine years of experience as a Yoga instructor, teaching courses, seminars and consulting in different schools and companies like Reebok, BASF Group Macmillan, Yakult and PricewaterhouseCoopers, at the latter developing an instructive video via intranet for Yoga practice at the workplace.
She was part of the Mexican Federation of Yoga from 2009 to 2011, and has participated in various outreach projects of teaching Yoga in printed and television media. Author of articles addressing different topics for electronic journals as the Mexican Federation of Yoga: ‘Dádiva y Huggies - Mamá en Balance’.
Currently she teaches at Yoga Sukha, who is director for seven years.
She has attended several seminars with renowned teachers like Dharmachari Dharmapriya (Canada), Brigitte Longueville (Netherlands), Lygia Lima (Brazil), Baptiste Marceau (France) and Sri Dharmamitra (New York).
