Sofía Sáenz Padilla

Sofía Sáenz PadillaSofía Padilla began her practice in 2005 as a comple-mentary training for her theater profession. She has collaborated with Solstice Yoga Center since 2011 as public relations and manager. In 2012 she made a certification of 200 hrs of Hatha Yoga and Restorative Alignment recognized by Yoga Alliance with Brigitte Longueville and David McAmmond. She has been an assistant teacher of Brigitte Longueville each year in the teacher training in Mexico City organized by the Mexican Institute of Yoga (IMY) 2013-2017. She also teaches in the Mexico City Buddist Center.

Un día dedicado a restaurar profundamente nuestro sistema nervioso.
A causa del estrés en el que vivimos estamos cansados, alterados y no nos podemos relajar. Dedicaremos dos días a equilibrar, activar y a fortalecer nuestro cuerpo a través de la práctica de yoga restaurativa, un poco de meditación y el uso de props diseñados especialmente para este propósito. Algunos de los props que usaremos son: La BackMitra, el arco con tira larga, el banquito de inversión y el rollito.

"I followed a 5 day retreat with Brigitte in 2008. It was located in another setting then, but the content is probably still the same. Luckily so!
I was a beginner at yoga and meditation and had never done pranayama. Actually, I was a bit afraid I would enter a world of "goat wool sock" type people.
The morning started early, in silence, with an hour long meditation which was slightly guided by Brigitte. It felt so at ease I had no trouble sitting for an hour. After that, the second hour she guided a pranayama session. Then we had a really healthy and tasty breakfast with muesli and fruits before we went on with our yoga session. The BackMitra again was new to me, and although difficult and a bit painful at first, really lengthened and straightened out my back! Amazing!!
Brigitte is very knowledgeable & patient, she sends out a pleasant energy and made me feel at ease. On top of that, our group went on a trip by boat to see whales. A lot of fun.
All in all one of my better travel experiences! "
